Air Quality Science Reading Room

Air quality science refers to the study of air pollution – not only the pollutants themselves, but also how they behave in the atmosphere. It includes the monitoring and evaluation of pollutants and their concentrations in the ambient air. It also includes inventories of emissions from their many sources, forecasts of future emissions and their resulting concentrations in the air through computer modelling. Monitoring of atmospheric conditions and local meteorology is also very important in understanding how pollutants move through the air.

The Air Quality Science Reading Room has been divided into sections reflecting these different aspects of the science, as well as one section dedicated specifically to the scientific study of air quality in the Sea-to-Sky Airshed.
